Prices

List Prices are shown and are offered as a quotation and are subject to change without prior notice. We will endeavour to keep the published price list up to date. Engineers Tool Room reserve the right to alter specifications and prices without notice when there are cost increases which are outside our control. It is our policy to provide competitive prices on our range of tools, machines and accessories. At the time of order a 30% deposit is required.

Refunds

Goods incorrectly purchased by the customer and returned must be returned in the original packing and  in a saleable condition. There will be a 10% deduction from the sales price for handling, checking and restocking. Cancellation of goods supplied from customer orders (written or verbal) are subject a charge to cover the costs incurred in supplying the goods before a refund is made.

Terms

Our normal payment terms are payment with order, however Account facilities can be offered to established businesses subject to satisfactory references and placing an official order.

Delivery

Stock items are normally delivered by carrier. Next day deliveries can be arranged and are subject to the appropriate cost premium. ( Excludes special offers ). Machinery deliveries by carrier are made to the nearest accessible point to your premises that the delivery vehicle can get, the delivery vehicle will be a tail lift vehicle for off loading and then moved by hydraulic pallet truck to your property. There must be flat smooth surface for the load to travel safely. The delivery driver is not responsible to move the load into a workshop or install any machines.  If there is difficult access to your premises you must notify Engineers Tool Room so special delivery arrangements can be made.  Machines which are subject to our offer of delivery into you workshop will be delivered on our own transport and is subject to access being available on the same level as road, lane, drive etc., and in an acceptable condition to safely use of handling equipment. Assistance will be required from the customer. Any packaging used to deliver goods is non returnable.

Installation. Installation is included for some larger machines provided the installation site and access is reasonable to allow safe working. Assistance would be required from the customer for installation. Where a customer elects to install machinery himself he must satisfy himself that the handling equipment, stand or bench is adequate and fit for carrying the weight of the machine and adequate provision is made for machine levelling. Failure to level machinery can result in twisting of castings which cannot be rectified later. The decision to offer our installation service is entirely at the discretion of Engineers Tool Room.

Part Delivery. We shall endeavour to carry adequate stock of items advertised. If certain items are not available at the time of order, we will supply all items in stock, notify you about items not in stock and endeavour to deliver the balance as soon as possible.

Damage and Delivery Shortages.  Damage and Shortages must be notified within 48 hours of delivery, otherwise we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or shortage.

Delivery Dates. Estimated delivery dates on long lead time items are given in good faith and are the best estimates of the delivery time when given. Any machine tool ordered specifically for a customer and subject to modifications in line with the customers order making them unable to be sold to others cannot be cancelled. Deposits are non refundable if orders are cancelled through extended delivery lead time outside our control.

Free Delivery. The offer of free delivery of machinery includes for mainland England and Wales all areas outside this will be subject to a part charge for shipping dependant on the carriers charges to us.

Retention of Title

Title to goods supplied does not pass to the customer until the goods are paid for in full.

Quality and Guarantee

All product quality is guaranteed through considerable research and development. In the unlikely event of a breakdown all machinery parts are guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of purchase for parts and labour, subject to fair wear and tear. Machines sold outside the United Kingdom are not covered by the above guarantee. Any items reported as defective by a customer will be either replaced or rectified to the manufacturers specification following inspection by Engineers Tool Room. If upon inspection we find that the item is inside the manufacturers specification or the equipment has been damaged or inappropriately used by the user we, at our discretion, would need to be reimbursed for our lost time and any expenses incurred. A schedule of travelling time costs and hourly rates for work done can be seen at our offices or by telephoning the office.

Machinery sold to a company at a discounted rate who resells to another party become responsible for any subsequent warranty claims.

Product Improvement

All products are offered for sale on a continual improvement basis. Engineers Tool Room reserve the right to make changes to specifications of products without prior notice.

Service

For all products a wide range of spares are available. Trained engineers can offer advice, to talk you through a repair. We also have a repair service available. Quotations for individual repairs available on request.
