Variable Speed Drive Systems

The new variable speed control kit consists of a Multi Function Controller, the latest Mitsubishi 500/520 Inverter and a new 3 phase drive motor, combined together to give total control over the performance of your machine tool. The ideal speed for the job no more making do. 

Make setting up easier, threading, undercutting, grooving, parting off with the ideal speed for the diameter being worked on.

Lathe and Milling Machine Multi Function Speed Controller

The multi function controller is compatible with the new Misubishi E520 Inverters. The unit comes pre-wired with 1.5 metres of 8-core colour coded cable for connection to the inverter. Simple Instructions supplied.

The E500 / E520 inverters are the latest single phase to three phase drive units and uses the Mitsubishi advanced “Magnetic Flux Vector Control” giving a class beating dynamic performance over a wide speed range, with 300% motor shaft torque available at 3hz (90rpm) on a standard 4 pole motor.

In the case of kits for Myford ML7, Super7 and Super 7 plus they come with the inverter and control station built into its own steel cabinet to bolt onto the lathe. Comes fully pre-wired, only needs plugging in.
